Men's Fellowship and Prayer Evenings Psalm 133:1 "How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity." How can this happen if we don't know each other? So on the second Sunday of each month at 6:00 p.m. we get together for a couple of hours of food, fellowship and prayer. During this time we can get to know each other, encourage, support, strengthen, and pray for each other. Then we can live together in the unity of the Spirit. This is also an opportunity to help each other become the spiritual leaders of our homes and church that God has called us to be. These meeting are open to all men age 13 and older, so our teens may learn from experience how to be men of God. Please check the calendar for details or contact the church.
Men's Retreats - We do two Friday night and Saturday retreats each year. In July we hold our "Hunting Cabin Retreat" for men and friends of our local fellowship. It is located in a secluded area near Pamplin, VA. It is a relaxed time to enjoy nature and connect with our Lord on a deeper level. This year the "Hunting Cabin Retreat" will be Friday July 30 and Saturday July 31, 2010. In September we also attend the annual Men's Regional Retreat in Blackstone, VA with other Calvary Chapels from the east coast. This is an awesome time with others Christian brothers in worship and study. This year it is scheduled for Friday September 10 and Saturday Sept 11, 2010. A third retreat is a one day event in June, our "Father and Sons Games and Picnic", held at a local campground with miniature golf, horseshoes, basketball, and other games, and good food. This is a fun day for fathers and sons of all ages to enjoy each other. Remember men, we are all sons of our Heavenly Father so plan to join us for the day. This year it will be on May 22, 2010.
